This was my first open water swim of the year in my new Orca Sonar wetsuit. The water was cold but my wetsuit was awesome. There was a very shallow sandbar during the swim that we had to stop swimming and run over. It really disrupted my rhythm during such a short swim. I felt good on the bike for the most part but had terrible stomach cramping starting about a half mile into the run. I wound up walking for a least quarter mile or so before I got over it and settled in to a decent run (minus the terrible start). I am getting faster but gotta keep running, gotta keep running!
